Tim Williams produces Aberdeen Angus beef for Farm Wilder from Erth Barton farm, on the banks of the River Tamar at the border between Devon and Cornwall. Tim recently had a visit from BBC's One Show to see the influx of Cattle Egrets on the regenerative farm.

The population of Cattle Egrets is increasing rapidly in Britain due to milder winters and the implementation of wildlife-friendly farming practices.  This type of farming involves keeping cows in the fields all year round, rotating them frequently onto new pastures in order to improve soil quality and increase the number of invertebrates. This creates an ideal environment for the small, white herons to feed on the insects that the cattle stir up.
